Do I Pick?
Drivers pick on Monday, 6/22
Attendants pick on Tuesday, 6/23
9 AM at Jamaica, Zerega, Port Richmond
9:30 AM at Greenpoint
Pick at the yard where you work this spring except that Sharrotts staff picks at Port Richmond and Conner staff pick at Zerega.
On Weds 6/17 we will learn what routes we have. We will post them online Thursday afternoon 6/18 and provide them to the ATU to post in the depot but please remember, Friday June 19 is a holiday so the depot will be closed that day.
Who Picks & Works? Unemployment?
Everyone must come to the Pick — it is scheduled on a workday. If we have more drivers and attendants than available routes, ATU seniority determines who works.
If you have to work due to seniority but choose not work, we cannot approve claims for summer unemployment.
When Does Summer Busing Start?
It depends. Most NYC schools start on Wed, 7/1 but it could start as soon as
Mon, 6/29.
We will let you know on your route sheet and via text message.
Fall Pick Aug 31
The Fall Pick will be August 31 - Sept 1 for Drivers, Sept 2 - Sept 3 for Attendants.
